McDonald's

It's shocking but roughly 80% of our unsorted recyclables go into landfills, and overflowing landfills emit greenhouse gases. So, food giant McDonald's is doing their part. This campaign promotes new trays (and packaging) created with a bio-based material, made from transformed landfill and food waste that can be made into usable sustainable products. The strategy is to surprise food lovers that they are dining today on yesterday's leftovers, making it relatable and tangible. This product is carbon positive. By the way, this product is legit and completely real. It's being rolled out in Brazil. The company with the patented technology is from Israel, and they are already bringing it to the U.S. It's a plastic substitute, but... it's not plastic. It's food and waste.
